The hardest word – part two

“Jane, don’t,” I urged, trying to stay calm. “She’s left me with no choice,” Jane glared, eyes wide and intense. She stepped forwards and raised her weapon in readiness. Annie flinched. Only the sound of a key in the door distracted Jane. “I’m home,” called Margaret, back from the office.

** by request, this is a continuation of yesterday’s story. I have no plan regarding the storyline, which isn’t something I’d usually advocate, but I must confess that I’m quite enjoying the freedom of writing in this way. So, part three tomorrow perhaps?

      Hmm…not sure which way to turn from here. I’ll write the next part after work. Who knows what’s going to happen next? I certainly don’t (yet)!
