Since birth he’d known he was the most important person in the world. Well, that’s what his parents had taught him, and he behaved accordingly. But when he started school he had to learn how to politely gain the attention of his teacher. No longer was a supermarket-style tantrum acceptable.
Oh, the supermarket-style tantrum. They’re the best.
Aren’t they just. Thankfully mine are much too old for that now. They just give me shopping lists of what they want me to get for them!
It gets even better when you can hand them the shopping list 😉
Ah yes, I’ll look forward to that day with much anticipation. In fact, I might tell them tomorrow that LindaGHill from the blogging site says it’s about time they started doing their own shopping 😉
With my blessing 😉
Three days back and ‘inspiration’ strikes already 😉 someone not a million miles from me described a similar situation. I guess it happens through the land in the first few days of September.
I must stress that I had no particular child in mind when I wrote this, it was just based on past experience. Bless their little cotton school socks!
Looking forward to that lesson!
School’s so good for them – aside from Maths and Literacy and so on, the social skills they learn are many. They learn fast too, out of necessity. Bless them!
