The Fairy In My Garden, by Alfie’s mum

“Come, quick,” I called from the door. Alfie scampered excitedly into the garden. “Over there,” I whispered, pointing toward the delphiniums, “I believe you now.” There she was, the most perfect winged creature, resting daintily among the blooms. And then, while we watched, she flitted away like an ethereal butterfly.

      I know, I couldn’t resist attempting to prove that fairies are real after all. I’ll write something a bit more grown up for tomorrow…
