Her mistress’ voice

April 28, 2013

The terrier shelters from the storm beneath a tree, shivering, hungry and missing her home. Having given up barking for help, she whines only at the occasional passerby who is hurrying to get out of the rain. Then, at last, a friendly and familiar voice calls, “Molly, there you are.”

This started off with me wondering what it would sound like if I changed the ‘his’ and ‘master’ in the old HMV thing to ‘her’ and ‘mistress’. Not quite sure how it ended up as a dejected dog story though???
