“But you see,” explained Ellie, “there was a grave problem. The children of the forest didn’t know it yet, but the boy on the horse was no friend of theirs. He was there to cause trouble.” She yawned. “I’m tired now, Grandad.” “Sleep then, we can finish this another day.”

Indeed it does. I’d really love to put some thought into this and develop it. As it stands, I literally typed the first thing that came into my head. I like writing like that, quite freely, without worrying too much about what comes out.
